In this Video we will be turning our footage into a Harry Potter Style VFX Shot. I wanted to turn our bright, vibrant video footage (Link in blog post) into something right out of Diagon Alley. With a little tracking we can add a 2D Plane for our sign and change the colors of our shot to get that grungy vibe. In the actual Harry Potter Movie, the Sign starts off Black and then appears as if by magic. To simulate that same effect, I took a video (Link in blog post) and used it as the Factor of a Mix Node. With a little Color Correction and Color Grading we have our Diagon Alley (kinda, but not really).. You can take this further and add more images of videos (such as the birds above the sign) and add more life into shot. I hope you find this tutorial helpful and as always, thanks for reading!.
