Abstract landscapes are commonly used in animations, games and for wallpapers. This short tutorial shows how to create such abstract shapes in Blender 2.93 via procedural materials and shader nodes. This is done using displacement maps in shader nodes, and can be applied to any 3D model to give it an abstract artistic look. This short tutorial shows every step of the material creation process, with information helpful for both beginners and advanced 3D modelers. It demonstrates the use of many of the shader nodes and showcases the power of procedurally generated materials. Displacement maps are one of the most creative tools in 3D modelling. Blender’s shader graph enables 3D artists to procedurally generate highly detailed landscapes. I will be showing you how to create procedural materials with Blender’s shader nodes and use them to generate an abstract landscape like the one you see here. This tutorial was inspire by Ducky 3D's videos on procedurally generated landscapes. This is my take on the subject, with a bit more math and a more structured approach. 👉 Ducky 3D: Landscape video: https://youtu.be/aJW8aroznqM Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuNhGhbemBkdflZ1FGJ0lUQ 👉 More tutorials: Hologram Effect: https://youtu.be/Imwx_b-5OTw Art Deco Logo Design: https://youtu.be/YKFa-1fWXuw Mega-city with Geometry Nodes: https://youtu.be/hATbnn27vRE Dis-colored Edges: https://youtu.be/U-88YhesNr4 Procedural Erosion: https://youtu.be/AzrOl8iCoRY 👉 Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sina.indieart/ #blender #tutorial #procedural #material #3d #modeling #tutorial
