Blender knowledge shared through this animation... Blender Skills: Fluid Simulations, Landscapes, Procedural Shading, Kit Bashing, Camera animations Blender Editor Types: Shader Editor, Timeline, Dope Sheet, Graph Editor, Compositor, 3D Viewport Blender Properties: Render, Output, View Layer, World, Modifier, Physics, Material I will share how I created this animation in a tutorial series by the same title on this channel. Hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed creating it. This animation is a blend of following concepts - CG procedural (CGMatter) and taking CG shortcuts (IanHubert) - Thank you both for sharing your knowledge and points of view. Examples demonstrating both points of view in this animation: Following CG procedural: a. Procedural shading of Mountain landscape and Lava material b. Fluid Simulation to generate lava splash Taking CG shortcuts: a. Using Steam as planes viewing through the camera rather than actually simulating them in 3D which saves a significant amount of simulation and rendering time. b. Mountain is not used as obstacle in Fluid simulation as it takes a lot of bake time rather, it is just placed after the simulation to generate the look (The lava drops pass through the mountain when looked closely :) Tutorial series: Lava splashing animation in Blender Blender version: 2.9 and 3.0 Render Engine: Cycles Samples: 128 samples with Open Image Denoise @ 1080p resolution.
