Otherwise - A Blender Short Film A practice sesh turned into a short film. Making a short film was not really the plan. I started this project at the start of the year with little to no knowledge about blender and other editing software on PC. Though I have some editing experience using a phone that some of you might already know. Thank you for your amazing app @Alight Motion. Anyways, I just recently finished the famous donut tutorial and decided to hop on another project without the guides and tutorials. I settled on modeling a simple alarm clock but Steve Long noticed the potential in it. My guy Steve has already told me to do an edit that evokes a sense of thought and emotion which I barely have any experience with. But I took what he said as a challenge. I was already aiming to do something like this but not as quickly as I had in mind. I was really invested in this project for almost 3 months and just consumed a lot of Blender tutorials along the way. The first month was a grueling phase but I did make it through, and I was able to slightly improve in the succeeding months. I gotta admit this piece does have its own flaws which I fully acknowledge. I’d highly appreciate it if you leave your critiques below! All scenes were made using Blender. Composited with AfterEffects, color graded with Davinci Resolve, and used Alight Motion for the sound design. I also used models from the Blender Kit Addon and Sketchkfab but most large objects in this film were made by me. Writing, Direction, Animation, Camera Work, Lighting, and Composition were also done by me. Huge thanks to Steve Long for the patience and trust he had in me and in this project. Also, for Rob Wang for the superb voice-over. You guys did really nail the acting on this one! If you guys want to learn more of the story behind this piece just DM me. You can also read Lucius Annaeus Seneca’s philosophy. I drew a lot of inspiration from his views. This is getting longer so hope you guys enjoy this piece and maybe, just maybe see you on the next short film. 📼 Tracks Used: Looking for Answers - Hildur Guðnadóttir You're Gonna Live Forever In Me - John Mayer Listen To The Music - The Doobie Brothers 📄 Tags - #alightmotionedit#alightmotionpreset#alightmotiontutorial alight motion coloring, alight motion preset, alight motion preset, alight motion preset base, alight motion preset base, alight motion preset base, alight motion shake, alight motion shake, alight motion transitions, alight motion transitions, alight motion transitions, alight motion tutorial, alight motion tutorial, alight motion tutorial, alight motion tutorial, alight motion watch me edit, alight motion watch me edit, alight motion watch me edit made by I ain't adam
