This is our first LEGO Blender animation tutorial! We are just learning how to use Blender along the way, and sharing what we think might be useful for other beginners like us. Using Blender to work on LEGO animation seems hard at first but there are a lot of ways to achieve progress quickly while you learn more advanced blender techniques. One of the first things we wanted to do was to animate a LEGO minifigure to have it as the virtual presenter of our videos, and we needed to solve how to animate its mouth so it will look like the minifigure is talking. Animating a mouth is not an easy fit but as our LEGO animations are still a bit simple, we found a very easy way to do it by working with an Image Sequence as the texture for the minifigure’s head. We think this looks quite well for our first steps with Blender and we hope this will be useful for other beginners like us. Enjoy our first Blender tutorial for beginners!
