This is a program which can be used for Blender, but is not necessary. I am referencing a tutorial for this (from @Black Plasma Studios : Minecraft Animation Tutorial Episode 1: Getting Started (Blender 2.7) : video). Unfortunately, the recorder I use couldn't pick up on some things, so I wrote out the steps. You may have a better time with the tutorial, beginning around 7:17 Go to File, Open World, then pick a Minecraft world Select: Ctrl + Click Drag Mess with height/depth to preference File (again), Export for Rendering When options come up, leave all but Create block faces at Borders. Shut this off, as is unnecessary and will slow things down (or you could leave if preferred). Then save. Of course, if you know each function and purpose, you may want to tweak a little.
