Following up from the previous video in which we modeled the old needle, let's do the materials in Blender. I should say a few things about this ... take your time to tweak the materials to the way you think it looks good. Sometimes when I do this on video, I don't spend the time I should and the result that you see isn't quite what I would like. The same goes for the vertext painting I show here. I chose initially to do it in FACE mode but really I probably should have chosen VERTEX mode and actually selected the vertices I wanted to paint.
