In this example I add hair from one model to another. You can do the same thing for adding a beard from another model. I often find it easier to sit the hair to a new head, rather than seat the beard to a new face. This might just be me 🤷♂️ This is the notepad text from the video if you need to translate etc. ====================================================== Tutorial to add hair from one model to another I will be using 7329 (Ramos) as my base - for his beard I will then be adding 47128 (Toloi) hair to Ramos, I will delete his existing hair as I no longer need it. Starting with the model I want to take something from. Check what mesh part or parts you need. In this model there is a very small amount of hair in the hair_2 mesh, but I can get by without those small parts. So I just need hair_1 Now we just save this model as a .blend Just checking the parts we need in this model. Both the beard and hair are on the same mesh. So I need to delete the hair manually. Now we are ready to add the new hair. For this we use the "Append" function Just browse to where you save the.blend file from earlier. Find the mesh you need in Objects. Now to edit some settings for the new hair Ok those are the main settings except for the textures. This model will now have 2 sets of hair textures. The beard will be using the original base (Ramos) hair textures, so we need to give the new hair textures a different name and also update the mesh to tell it that new name. I took textures and renamed - then put in with other textures for ramos face. Now update Blender Ok last part of settings is we need to relink to new ID. You need to do this even if the base was already on the correct ID. The new hair is using it's old ID. That is the basics. But we now need to edit the face texture of Ramos so it has the hair area of our added hair. We also need to adjust the new hair position. I will use blender 2.9/3.x for that I didn't get enough of the hair texture to start with Now we test in game Looks ok. Now can make your face from this point. :)
