Hey there long time, i just wanted to make this short tutorial on how to change the pivot point like maya does in it's edge select or vertex select. I scoured the internet for this simple fix from maya to blender but couldn't find anything so i tried everything in the pivot dropdown menu and found such a simple fix which requires no addons etc. So here ya go, a simple 5 min tutorial which explains it in brief and has so many applications in almost every model that you make, whether it's a hard surface object or a character that you're making :P.
